Karisma’s Story

Gallery Display

presence of the body.

absence of the mind.

   as time ticked by

your hands wandered

             &

    my body lay still.

       silence.

   i am awakened.

            as

the sun rises on the horizon.

         dazed.

       i am frozen.

   I gather my things.

               as

      I jolt for the door.

          you follow

              and

             supply

            apologies

        filled with sorrow.

     I moan in disgust.

      yet you continue.

  waiting for a response.

         or acceptance.

   I serve you with silence;

     for I am in disbelief that

  the person who I have loved

                 has

  used my body as a display;

               A gallery

           for amusement.
