Madison Urich

FOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD

I’m Madison, the creator of Nora & Co. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining me in the mission to restore dignity to women experiencing trauma. Nora & Co. was dreamt up on the couch of my college apartment at Penn State; what was once my senior thesis, is now a movement that continues to inspire and humble me in waves.

I’m an award-winning designer and founder; I thrive at the convergence of creative problem solving, entrepreneurship, and empathy-led strategy. I’m a 2020 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor of Design in Graphic Design and dual secondary specializations in Architecture and Entrepreneurship & Innovation: Arts Focus. I also hold a certificate in Designing for Social Systems from Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. Upon graduation from my bachelor’s program, I was elected as the youngest member to serve on the Penn State Graphic Design Board of Directors. My professional experience includes my Senior Designer role at Gradient Experience in New York City, one of the leading experiential marketing agencies operating globally. I have over 4 years of experience designing for the top luxury and lifestyle brands including Lamborghini, Cartier, L'Oréal Group, Suntory Global Spirits, Armani Beauty, and more; winning Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards from the likes of Eventex, Hermes, and the Experience Design & Technology Awards.

My expertise crafting experiences for these prestigious organizations begged the question: What would it look like if I applied the same design thinking used in creating campaigns for celebrities and consumers to experience their favorite brands, to trauma survivors in desperate need of a redesigned trajectory to experience healing?

Inspired by the courage of survivors and grounded in my conviction of faith to love the broken-hearted, Nora & Co. is my answer to this question. I believe the sexual assault crisis on college campuses is a design problem best approached with creative, empathy-led strategy. I believe we can not only meet the basic needs of survivors, but cultivate communities committed to justice and compassion; walking with survivors to a place of true flourishing.
